Build-Up On Social Media To V8 Supercars Bathurst 1000

For rev head fans or even the most casual of V8 Supercars fans, Bathurst 1000 around the famed Mount Panorama is the Grand Final of V8 Supercars racing.

The historic endurance race revs into action on Sunday but there has already been plenty of thrills and spills in the lead-up to the race.

Practice 5 inparticular was a sensational session with Scott McLaughlin lighting up the track with a new scorching lap record.

Inbetween practice sessions, V8 Supercars fans flocked in their hundreds to get up, close and personal with their heroes. 

Fans have inparticular amassed around Ford star McLaughlin and teammate Alex Premat.

The Mount Panorama track is 6.2km long and its highest point is 862m above sea level while Conrad Straight is just over 1.9km long. 

For V8 fans alongside the track, the sight and sound of V8 Supercars screaming past is exhilarating.

According to Unibet’s Expert Edge, the fastest corner around the track is 300km/hr at turn 20 while the slowest corner is 85km/h around turns 18 and 19.

Not surprisingly, there’s a 99 percent chance of a safety car.
